Help & support
The questions buyers and suppliers actually ask.
Do I have to pay to use E-Com Market Place as a buyer?
Browsing, capability search, business verification, posting sourcing requests and receiving quotes are all free. A 2.5% trade service fee (minimum $150) applies only when you confirm an order, and it covers escrow, dispute rights, the document vault and landed-cost modelling.
Why do I have to verify my business before posting a request?
Because Pakistani suppliers' single biggest complaint about existing platforms is fake and low-quality inquiries. Gating requests behind a business check is what makes suppliers respond quickly, and it is the main reason our response rates are what they are. Verification is automated and usually completes in minutes.
Who is the Importer of Record?
You are. E-Com Market Place never takes that role — the liability under the "reasonable care" standard is unlimited, and Executive Order 14411 tightened the requirements further in 2026. We give you a complete document pack, advisory HTS classification, a vetted broker referral and a landed-cost model, so you can carry the role well.
What happens if the goods are wrong?
A third-party pre-shipment inspection is mandatory on every first order, and its result gates the middle payment milestone — so problems surface before the container sails, not after. If a dispute is raised, escrow freezes and a three-stage process runs: direct resolution, mediation, then a determination with written reasons. Determinations bind escrow release only.
Can I get my money back?
Only from escrowed funds that have not been released. Once a milestone is released, recovery depends on supplier agreement or set-off against future orders. We say this plainly rather than promising guaranteed refunds we could not deliver.
How long does shipping take?
Ocean from Karachi or Port Qasim to the US East Coast runs roughly 27 to 44 days depending on service, with sailings every two to four weeks. Missing a sailing can cost a month, so we show booking cutoffs and alert you before them. Air freight is days but roughly 8–15× the cost.
Is my supplier really a factory?
At Tier 3 and above, yes — an independent auditor physically visited and made that determination. At Tier 2 it is self-declared, and we say so on the profile. Sourcing partners are labelled as such and must disclose their production partners.
What does E-Com Market Place take from the supplier?
A success fee of 3% on a first order with a given buyer and 1.5% on repeats, invoiced separately. It is never deducted from export proceeds, because that would create a shortfall against the supplier's State Bank of Pakistan E-Form declaration — and the exporter, not the platform, is the one penalised for that.
